Background
The Harrisburg Senators have been playing baseball in the same exact spot since 1907. City Island, home of Commerce Bank Park, sits in the middle of the Susquehanna River, which runs along Harrisburg. Sitting on sixty-two acres of waterfront park, City Island offers volleyball courts, soccer fields, water golf, nature trails, jogging paths, cycling paths, two marinas and the "Pride of the Susquehanna" riverboat.
Riverside Stadium became Commerce Bank Park in 2004 and our partnership continues to grow today. Commerce Bank agreed to naming rights at Riverside Stadium because we wanted to help cover the costs of renovating the park; making it a more entertaining, enjoyable experience for those in the community.

Community Partnerships
Commerce Bank and the Harrisburg Senators Baseball Club teamed up this past spring to hit a "Home Run to Fight Hunger!"
Commerce collected nearly 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food items - enough to serve about 500 meals. The donations were delivered by a full Commerce "WOW!" van to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to benefit hungry families throughout the region.
"Modest donations from a large number of people really have a way of adding up," said Commerce Bank Chairman, President and CEO Gary L. Nalbandian. "With the community's help, we're thrilled we were able to knock this food drive out of the park."
Individuals who donated two or more items received a voucher for one free reserved-seat ticket to a Senators weekday game at Commerce Bank Park on City Island in Harrisburg
